About Alisha Lund-Chaix
Nearly 10 years ago Al took on her first complete evaluation project and has been a committed researcher ever since. Her work has included everything from evaluation planning and research design to drafting and presenting final reports. Al has extensive training and experience in quantitatively based designs, enabling her to approach her work holistically and integrate information and data from many sources. Previous work has included evaluation of multi-site programs and longitudinal analysis, as well as of interviews and analysis of administrative data for small programs.
Al has been working and volunteering in education and nonprofit programs for more than 15 years, including advocacy, direct service, program coordination, and evaluation. For over five years Al has been teaching classes and training seminars for adult learners. Classes and trainings have included the theory and practice of nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations, leadership, accountability, and evaluation and research methods.
She holds a Ph.D. in Public Affairs and Policy from the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government, with fields emphasizing nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations, evaluation, and public policy. In service to the community she sits on the board of the Portland Women's Crisis Line and the program planning committee of the Oregon Program Evaluators Network (OPEN).
